| Jose Mourinho: Chelsea boss up against Schalke tonight |
Chelsea have the chance to take control of UEFA Champions League Group E when they come up against Schalke at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
Jose Mourinho's side have recovered well from the shock of their Matchday 1 defeat by Basel to record emphatic victories against Steaua Bucharest and tonight's opponents.
The comfortable 3-0 victory away to Schalke last time out in continental competition moved Mourinho's men to the top of their section and in pole position to qualify for the knock-out stages for the ninth time in the last 10 years.
A further concern for the Bundesliga side is that they will be facing a Blues team smarting from their surprise 2-0 defeat at Newcastle last weekend in the Premier League.

Mourinho claimed after the match that he had made '11 mistakes' with his team selection at St James' Park and changes can be expected to the line-up.
Chelsea have suffered just one home defeat in their last 30 Champions League group stage matches - winning 22 and drawing seven - while Schalke are unbeaten in their last seven matches away from home in all competitions, with six victories in that spell.
